Happy Fusion Friday! Today we have a special guest blog post. This was written by one of our brand ambassadors, Chester Moreno. He's full of knowledge and insight, so check out the blog and follow him on social media!

As we embark on the beginning of 2020, a lot of us have come to the crossroads of New Year’s resolutions. Fitness, in particular, being one of them. We don’t like what we see in the mirror, we wonder how did we let ourselves go with a lack of physical activity or stray from good nutrition. Trust me, I’ve been there as well. We’re living in a “Netflix and chill” society instead of being healthy and active.

Now more than ever, fitness information and personal training/coaching is so readily available to us via the internet that it’s hard to sift out who we want transforming our bodies. The fitness industry is so oversaturated with online personal trainers/coaches that it’s hard to stand out. A lot of the times, clients end up throwing their money away to inexperienced trainers, trainers that literally just started working out the other day, or just people that really don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about.

We get a lot of questions from people on what the best way to use our products is. So here's how I use our products on my lifting days:

Preworkout: About 15-20 minutes before hitting the gym, I drink a full serving of Super Soldier Pre Workout.  As I'm driving to the gym, I start to feel the beta alanine working and I get a slight tingling sensation. By the time I'm changed and start warming up, I can feel the energy hitting me.

This blog post is a very general guideline to losing weight, and more specifically, body fat.  Before I begin, I should state that I am not a doctor. I am not a nutritionist. I don’t have any degrees or letters after my name. What I do have is almost 20 years of experience, research, and trial and error. So if you are looking for scientifically studied ways that lab rats lost weight on the latest fad diet, this isn’t the place for you.

There are several ways to exercise. Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Strongman, Crossfit, and Calisthenics are just some examples. In terms of lifting weights at a standard commercial gym (Gold’s Gym, Retro Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, etc.), a popular exercise split (workout routine) is a bodybuilding style split. In a bodybuilding split, you train 5-6 days a week, working a single body part per day.  So you would have a Back day, a Chest day, an Arms day, a Shoulder day, and not as commonly, a Leg day. This method works well for very experienced lifters, or for those that are competing in bodybuilding. More experienced lifters need a lot more volume per muscle group than beginners, to break down muscle fibers to promote muscle growth. But is this training style the right fit for everybody? It isn’t. Especially for beginner to intermediate lifters, that much volume is not only not required, but it also can be detrimental to muscle gain as those workouts are harder to recover from. What works well for beginner to intermediate lifters? Full Body Workouts. Full body workouts are excellent for a variety of people, at various stages of fitness.

Let’s face facts here. In the year 2019, there are almost an unlimited amount of options for the consumer when it comes to choosing what supplements to purchase.  Some are very cheap, some are very expensive, but most of the market falls within the same price range, give or take a few bucks. You have your big chain stores like GNC and Vitamin Shoppe, or your local, smaller, supplement stores. Walmart even carries supplements, and at a very cheap price. There’s websites like bodybuilding.com, tigerfitness.com and others that give you an endless amount of options.  And then there’s Amazon, where you can find anything you can think of, supplements included.

So with all those options, why choose Fusion Sports Performance?
